A Moment Of Beauty (From Candle's FAWM 2012 Notes)

A live-to-tape improv (no overdubs in post-production) inspired by Pauli from www.sqlspace.com Pauli gave me a short story about how he sees the world - not as someone who mearly participates in the material plane of existence - but also someone who observes & learns from his experiences here. And the purpose of these observations? Simply to raise ourselves up higher & bring us closer to our existential purpose.

Metaphysics aside, I really love how this song turned out. I just kept building texture upon texture. I really wanted to express the beauty of life & how we can learn from our experiences & one another in order to help everyone reach their existential purpose.

My setup was the same as for Ghia Is Churning: fawm.org/songs/21885/ - a setup that I find really inspiring in itself. Just playing around with all the possible sounds I can create & loop has me going in some interesting directions.
