A Moment Of Beauty (From Candle's FAWM 2012 Notes)

I have to thank Sandy from the SQLSpace forum (www.sqlspace.com) for the inspiration on this one.She gave me a list of song titles & a few of them popped out at me. "Ghia Is Churning" is the first to be made into a soundscape for this year's FAWM. Thanks again Sandy!

So what did I envision while I was creating this chatic cacaphony of sound? Actually, I was envisioning the most pwerful natural phenomena Humanity has experienced here on our little blue planet. From Typhoons & Hurricanes to the majestic power of a Waterfall. I hope I was able to capture some of the energy contained in these amazing phenomena.

Interestingly, this also coincided with FAWM's "The Weather Challenge."

As per usual (I know, it's starting to sound old, sorry) this is a one off improvisation recorded Live-To-Tape using the same setup as Midnight fawm.org/songs/21564/ However, I have added one more output to the IX Patchbay & routed it to a Cheapo Do-Nothing (as Volume Control) then to an Elogoxa ElotTronix XL v.1.4 VST (a VST version of Robert Fripp's famous Frippertronics Tape-Looping system from the 1970's) which is then routed into the LD Mixer.

One other note: in the second part of the song I used a velcro strip (you know the kind used to tie up patch cords) to create a whole bunch of interesting sounds from my Strat.
