From the Liner notes of FAWM 2015:
"Back in the 90's & the early 2000's, the city of Winnipeg had an amazing Experimental Avant-Garde Rock Scene (to be truthful, a lot of the guys from back then are still doing some amazing things now-a-days). I've been lucky enough to jam with many of the Avant-Garde guys & be apart (for a short time) of one of those uniquely Winnipeg bands. To check out some of their great music, there's a Bandcamp site dedicated to the 2Ply Collective (the group of bands who formed most of the Avant-Garde scene during this era) that you can all check out here:

Anyway, this little song (again out of my normal character - but
harkening back to my Grunge/Alt-Rock roots) is a tribute to one of those great bands: Ham. The song takes it name from one of Ham's earliest songs: "Call Off The Raids! The Headless Rider Has Now Returned From Dimension X…4:43 AM" (from their 1999 album Boreal Imbroglio). There's numerous references in the lyrics to various Ham songs & some of the characters who populate their lyrics.
I hope the guys from Ham like what I've done with their catalogue.
Anyway, I enjoyed writing this one. However, I've been struggling to
make the music & lyrics fit together. As such, I've kept this demo
acapella & ended the song with a sample taken from the original Ham
track (the aforementioned "Call Off The Air Raids…"). I'm not quite
satisfied with this as it stands, but this poor excuse for a demo will
do for now. I'll probably revist this track once FAWM is over…"

You know, I first listened to this before scanning through the
liner notes and I listened while getting dressed and not
following along in the lyrics. The mental impression I got was
of some happy lunatic on the moon (maybe like in the movie
'Moon'!) singing like he was in the shower or something. You
have a fabulous voice that I hope to hear more of in other songs!

I had trouble reading your liner notes, because your voice kept
on distracting me. Powerful indeed. Acapella stuff is often
challenging for most singers, yet it sounds completely
effortless here. Very nice. I LOVE what happens at 2:54. It
startled me, and I had to listen again to understand what was
going on. Genius outro."
