I was on the phone with my best friend. He lives on the other side of the country in B.C. (I'm in NW Ontario). We were catching up, B.S'ing about the usual worldly woes & Gen X angst when he said: "You know Darb, I'm just in no mood for murder." We both cracked up laughing at that one, but then I had the brainstorm to use that line in a song. So once FAWM started a couple of days later, I hashed out these lyrics & started putting together this track.

There are times when we all feel like going on a rampage, lashing out at the world around us because of our feelings of powerlessness. But most of us hold ourselves back for various reasons. This song explores those feelings.
