Hypothermic Hallucinations

from Methodical Variations Volume III by Candle

/

about

This is built around a single chord played over & over on my Dad's f-Hole electric (tuned to Dropped B). I used a Jim Dunlop .80mm Fins Plectorum & added some "atmosphere" in Jeskola Buzz. I'm mostly satisfied with this, still feels like it needs something else, but I've run out of time to devote to this song.

lyrics

The hypothermic hallucination began
The trumpets sounded & the people ran
While psychedelic electric rain
Washed away all lingering pain
Like forgotten shards in sapphire hues
Hung unaware in perfumed tombs

CHORUS
Golden beads hang in the sky
Fixating pleasure in my eyes
On rainbow wings I will fly
But in this cold I have died
I have died…

Fevered frenzied falsified claims
Dripping down pearl necklace chains
Greek fires burning at high noon
My vision black by thoughts consumed

CHORUS

Run through a desert
Crystalized in the moment
Disrupting the presence
But pushing the limits
(Maybe) It’s better this way…
