about

From the Liner notes of FAWM 2015:

"Number 14 - with five days to go. Happiness is…

Anyway, this one is way different in style then what i normally do. I
used my Kawai MS-710 keyboard for the backing tracks & then overdubbed my guitar live-to-tape. I then slapped on the vocal sample at the end.

The methodology harkens back to my Abandoned Apostle days back in the Shed (my 1997 album - available on my bandcamp site:
candle.bandcamp.com ). Nostalgic, I guess…

As for the song itself, I see it as a celebration of some special forces
unit after a completed mission. Anyone familiar with the 10-Radio Codes will recognize & understand the song tittle.

Is this my last FAWM song this year? I don't know… time will tell.
Five days left… I might squeeze a couple more out before the end…"

Very interesting style and sounds.

Head trip. I love the juxtaposition between the tango-style
synths and man oh man that guitar. I thought of Spiritualized
before on a few of your other songs but didn't mention it
because I felt the comparison was artificial and your style was
too much your own. But the guitar here really did make me think
of Jason Pierce more and this time I feel it's a valid
comparison. Love that vocal slapped on at the end too. Made me
imagine a space expedition team celebrating the end of their
work with champagne and instruments and then mission control
saying, "All right, good job, guys. Come on home."

Hahahaha I LOVE THIS! Reminds me of the crazy stuff we crafted
with my bro when we were still living with our parents, and mom
'worrying' about us because we were making 'weird music'.
Seriously, listening to this delighted me.

Haha yes!! This is really warped and fascinating! The guitar
really scores the touchdown for this tune."
